If you want proof that music has the ability to enhance anybody’s life, regardless of age, watch this. These seniors live in the Extendicare Starwood Nursing Home and they all participate in the home’s Music therapy program.

If you would like more information on the incredible power of music on people with dementia or other neurological damage, watch the film Alive Inside.  This movie, which features Dr. Oliver Sacks, won the audience award at Sundance for 2014.

The music therapy program is financed by the non-profit Family Support Group at Extendicare Starwood.  Donation (CRA tax receipt will be provided) information is below.
