If My Face Fell Off
If my face fell off
and smashed to the floor
would you smile
or recoil
at the face beneath?
If my words came to life
Would they land softly on your cheek
like butterflies
would you feel their warmth for hours?
Or would they swarm and sting
like hornets
would you feel the pain for days?
If your face fell off
And smashed to the floor
Would I smile…?
